Job Description

The Business Development Assistant Manager will champion building and maintaining strong relationships with international clients while driving brand growth through effective market-entry strategies and distributor management.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong business relationships with international clients.
    • Manage and develop current in-country distributors to support and drive brand growth.
  2. Market Expansion:
    • Conduct intensive and structured prospecting of new clients to identify and penetrate new markets.
    • Co-develop and implement market-entry plans and distribution strategies.
    • Prepare an integrated plan of action to meet corporate targets, including product strategy development, pricing strategy, on-trade merchandising/activities, and brand management.
  3. Performance Evaluation:
    • Evaluate Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to check the overall performance of the country. Recommend necessary improvements or appropriate courses of action based on performance analysis.
  4. Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with different cross-functional groups to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • Lead and oversee total order fulfillment processes to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Analytical and Results-Oriented: Possesses strong analytical skills, a pragmatic mindset, and is highly results-oriented.
  • Proactive and Customer-Focused: Exhibits a proactive, flexible, and customer-oriented attitude with a ‘can do’ mentality. Experience in Business to Business (B2B) B2B or Business to Consumer (B2C) business development, especially in Health & Beauty, is advantageous.
  • Strong Communicator and Team Player.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business, Social Sciences, Engineering, or Communications course, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in account management, business development, & sales. Background in import/ export management, is a plus.
